YAH YAH YAH YAH! SAYING IT LOUD AND PROUD.
the 'heroine' of the shopaholic series.
There are currently 5 shopaholic books to my knowledge and I have read 3 or 4 of them. I can totally say with conviction that Becky Bloomwood is a very shallow, self absorbed, warped little selfish bitch who doesnt think about anyone around her. Not even the man she claims to 'Love'.
OK untrue.
She occassionally surfaces from her state of extreme self absorption to attempt to help Luke in a bimbotic way which then by a stroke of luck turns out to be of assistance to him in a warped way. Yay!
WTF.
Although I know the red haired bitch was a real poisonous bitch, in a way i think she was right.
A man as wonderful as Luke is portrayed as deserves much better than Becky Bloomwood. Not because she is shallow vain vapid and stupid. More because she is so selfish I dont think she loves him at all - the only person she will ever love is herself.
Nah nah nah nah......
So there.
ALthough what I do love about the book (as I did about devil wears prada) is reading about all the things she buys.

Yay.... 1 up for the Media....
take your bow and suck in the applause because you accomplished your goal.... successfully driving Tony Veitch to attempt suicide.
Congratulations.
After all, thats what you wanted from the start when you mercilessly hounded him and sensationalised facts to skew them so as to portray things in a light which may not be as true as it was. Ruining his reputation and attempting to destroy both his career and his personal life was your main goal - to bring down a successful media persona.
There are always two sides of a story. However, the likes of you, of course, don't really care about being fair or about justice at all. All you care about is how to make more dollars and cents because at the end of the day thats the ONLY thing that matters. Screw journalistic integrity.
If a man like Paul Holmes will speak up for him, you know that there Must have been something on the other side - Everyone and Anyone with half a brain should know that. I quote
"I do not remember a more savage, more frenzied, more complete media consumption of anyone in the public eye. I do not recall anything as ruthless, as relentless, as coldly pitiless. In fact, I believe, and I am not alone, that Tony Veitch has been the victim of a highly organised campaign."
And another excerpt
"But this has been a carefully orchestrated plan to end a career and the life a man has built. A valuable broadcasting performer has been taken out of two prime broadcasting slots, the Radio Sport Breakfast Show and One News. Instead of us seeing justice, we may have been seeing revenge. Instead of journalism, we may have seen commerce."
I am not saying that violence is wrong - there are many better ways to deal with it. But neither is writing a pack of half-truths (which can be worse than lies) and slagging someone off just to get higher viewership. Shame on you...

Feddie thru to Semis @ US Open
And also made his way to his 18th Straight Grand Slam Semi Final.
Now to all you creepy anti-Feddies, you can go on and on talking about how he's over the hill and how crappy he is now.
I again maintain that :
-He won the OZ and made it to the finals of the French + Wimbledon GrandSlams. if he is crappy then everyone else in the tennis world except for Nadal sucks worse
-Nadal has only held onto his #1 spot for a few months. Can he hold onto it for as long as Feddie did?
-NDjokovic is creepy and annoying (hurei .. .. a TV presenter agreed with me today!!)
Blah blah blah blah blah *childish bickering*
I am not anti Nadal. I am just a bigger fan of Feddie... ! I still think he IS SO DAMN AWESUM!
OMG I sound like a creepy stalkery fanboi.. i mean fangirl.
Well I guess I am. Go Feddie!!!

PROOF
that I do know it all.
I was watching a very bimbotic programme on C4TV
"Beauty and the Geek"
It's a production by Ashton Kutcher of That70'sShow and Punk'd fame (and of course being DM's cute hubby)
I was watching a very bimbotic programme on C4TV
"Beauty and the Geek"

It was the second to last episode from Season 3.
I must admit despite it being bimbotic, it was quite funny to watch. I so envy the blondes' very gorgeous hair and dazzling white teeth.
Anyway, it was the elimination part, and the couples had to answer questions.
They were mostly easy questions (eg - what animal is mutton from....)
then a question came..
"how many seconds must a bullrider stay on the bull to gain points?"
And for some reason I KNEW THE ANSWER!
Totally random, and I don't know how I knew, but I knew...
8 Seconds...
I proudly told my TV before the contestant too answered "8 seconds"
CORRECT of course :)
Man, I do know it all...

COME ON WINNIE - Winston Peters
Dude... Please stop mocking every sane person in New Zealand
WP has been well known for his ability to sneak past tricky situations with glib answers and confusing responses.
Even the nzherald reporters got sick of it, and wrote a less than flattering piece about dear ole Winnie.
SO WHAT'S NEW?
Dear ole Winnie is now being charged with being delinquency-in-declaring-funds-donated-to-him-that-he-declared-were-not-gifts. Phew what a mouthful.
He is stubbornly hiding behind the excuse that he had no idea that so-and-so gave him $$$ on this-and-this day and date.
Of course, his bills miraculously take care of themselves... and he has no idea whatsoever how it happened. They just er.... disappear.
DAMMIT WHY DONT MY BILLS JUST DISAPPEAR WITHOUT ME KNOWING????
cmon dude. just be straight with us.

Maori Language Week
I came over to this country 6 years ago. Being fluent (malaysian-style, but still better than many other nationalities) in English, I had very few communication problems as everyone speaks Inggeris.
I myself can speak a few languages - english, malay, hokkien (kuching style), mandarin.
I love languages too, and have made an effort to study Korean. Alas the grammar beats me every time :)
Anyway.. back to the point,
Maori is a language that seems to me pretty much like Malay. Like any other language, I always feel that people speak it way too fast. ALthough I have come to realise that I speak Malay pretty fast too - Indonesians have trouble catching up with me, because they only learn Malay at school, but speak colloquial Indon all the time which is almost like a totally different language from Malay.
Again I digress. Anyway... I will stop blabbing and teach you a few Maori greetings
Kia ora koutou (Hi everyone)
Greetings
Tena koe (formal greeting to one person)
Tena korua (formal greeting to 2 people)
Tena koutou katoa (formal greeting to many)
Kia ora (informal greeting)
Ata Marie (formal good morning)
Morena (informal good morning)
Farewells
Ka Kite (see you (informal)
Ka kite ano (see you again)
Ma te wa (in time)
Ka korero ano (I’ll speak to you again)
Hei kona (farewell, you’re staying, I’m leaving) or Hei konei ra (farewell - I’m staying, you’re leaving)
E noho ra (Sit there, I’m leaving)
Kia pai to wa (have a good day)
Po Marie (formal good night)
